At Sirotics we have a range of expertise in design, mechanics, electronics and programming and we are experts at combining our skills to build unique products.

Amin Rigi

Amin Rigi

Director & Product Design and Development Consultant

Amin has several academic degrees from some of the best universities around the world. He has studied an MSc in sensors and imaging systems, MSc in Embedded Systems, MSc in Mechatronics and a BSc in Robotics. He is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh's Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems (IMNS). His multidisciplinary background enables him to analyse and solve complex engineering problems.

Product Design and Development Consultant

Hamid is an inventor and a professional product developer with more than ten years experiences in technology management and research. He has several international and national awards, inventions and successful products that most of them are currently using in the industry.
Some of Hamid's most papular projects are Oil and Gas operation robots, wastewater inspection systems, travel assistance robots and product inspection systems.

Andrew Mugisha

Radio Frequency (RF) Design Consultant

Andrew has more than 15 years of industrial experience working as a senior electronics engineer in world leading companies as like Sonyericsson, Motorola, Nokia and Intel. He is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh's Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems (IMNS). 

Field of speciality in RF design:

Component level cost reduction and optimization of RF receiver sub system in iDEN’s i1000 800/900MHz cellular phone. 

System level definition, development and integration of discrete GPS RF receiver architectures in iDEN 800/900MHz Cellular phones.

Definition and development of Vendor GPS RFIC Characterization and Test Validation Matrix for the Mobile Devices (MD) Group. Goal: Mobile Devices Group’s Platform standardization of GPS RFIC evaluation and test procedures.

White Paper publications on GPS RF system integration in 3GSM Cellular phones.

Development of an Automated Test validation matrix, to characterize Power Amplifier Module (PAM) for WCDMA (UMTS) Cellular products.

System level optimization and integration of a platform defined homodyne, (Zero-IF) WCDMA (UMTS) Transmitter architecture in Dual mode, Quad band 3GSM Cellular phones.

RF Receivers’ circuit implementation, optimization and integration in Laptop Wireless Data cards. RF Transceivers implemented in data cards: Main and Diversity (Auxiliary) transceivers UMTS, GSM and GPS.

Dr. Alireza Abbasi

Process Engineering Consultant

Alireza Abbassi Monjezi completed his MEng in Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Surrey, UK. He then obtained his PhD in Forward Osmosis Seawater Desalination using Solar Thermal Energy at the same University where he later worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on a project, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), that looked into novel methods of using low-cost solar thermal energy applications that can be coupled to membrane desalination processes. Currently at the University of Edinburgh, he is working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate to design, commission and test an electrodialysis (ED) module as part of a European Horizon 2020 project.  

Hamidreza Rezaei Nedamani

Hamidreza Rezaei Nedamani

Robotics & Control Systems Consultant

He studied robotics engineering as an undergraduate and later obtained his MSc in mechanical engineering. With several years of experience in research and industry, he has become an expert in unmanned intelligent vehicles, soft computing, design and integration of engineering control systems and the modelling of dynamic systems. Furthermore, he is highly experienced in analysing and programming engineering toolboxes for control systems and developing advanced driver assistance systems for cars.
